This is because KMT has an updated version of PRO III seal head assembly which is superior to the previous 72170157 design. ADVANTAGE OF THE UPGRADED DESIGN:
The new 7219002179 design features a flat inlet sealing end. This allows for ease of maintenance in lapping and grinding a fresh sealing surface should it become damaged due to contact with the inlet poppet. The inlet ball poppet on the old 72170157 design is recessed into a pocket which makes reworking the pocket much more difficult. This reduces the usable life of the 72165539 seal head body.
